I Bet You Can't Solve This.

Silverpelt said that it had taken her some time to solve this math/logic problem. As far as I know, Passerby hasn't solved it yet, either. I have no idea how to solve it or what the answer is. Leave a comment if you can solve this!

Three men paid for a three-man room at a hotel for $60. Later, the hotel receptionist-secretary realizes that he's made a mistake and that the room only costs $55. He gives the bellboy $5 and tells him to divide it among those men. But the bellboy couldn't divide $5 by 3; he gave the men $3 and kept the remaining $2 for himself.

Originally each of the 3 men paid $20 for a $60 room. But since each of them got $1 back, they each only paid $19. That means that altogether they paid $57. Add the $2 that the bellboy took, and $57+$2=$59.

Originally they paid $60. Now we find that they paid $59. Where did the extra dollar go??
